Glazing Options

Clear Float Glass
Glazing Options
Standard transparent glass (Clear) or glass tinted (e.g., Grey, Bronze, Green, Blue) to reduce glare (Tinted)
Provides shade from direct sunlight, enhances privacy, and can help reduce cooling costs
Forms the foundation for other glass types like laminated or double-glazed units
Suitable for general-purpose use where specialized performance isn't the primary requirement

Double Glazed Glass
Glazing Options
Two panes of glass separated by a sealed air or gas-filled cavity
Creates a highly effective thermal barrier, significantly reducing heat transfer (keeping heat out in summer, in during cooler periods)
Provides excellent sound insulation, reducing noise from outside
Ideal for improving energy efficiency and acoustic comfort, especially in noisy areas or climates with significant temperature variations

Laminated Glass
Glazing Options
A vinyl interlayer (PVB) sandwiched between two or more sheets of glass
Holds glass fragments together if broken, reducing the risk of injury
Significantly more difficult to penetrate than standard glass, enhancing resistance against break-ins
Blocks up to 99.9% of harmful UV rays, protecting interiors from fading. Also improves sound insulation

Tempered Glass
Glazing Options
Heat-treated glass that is up to four times stronger than standard float glass, resisting impacts better
If broken, shatters into small, relatively harmless pebble-like fragments instead of sharp shards
Often required by building codes for critical locations or advised by professionals
Used where increased strength is paramount

Low-Emissivity (Low-E) Glass
Glazing Options
Features a virtually invisible metallic coating that reflects heat radiation (infrared rays)
Dramatically improves thermal performance by reflecting heat back to its source (reflects summer heat out, reflects winter heat in)
Enhances energy efficiency, reducing reliance on heating and cooling systems. Often combined with double glazing for maximum effect
